Nature inspires me

As a young boy…

I spent most of my time outdoors. Being active in the fresh air was something my entire family enjoyed. I was introduced to outdoor sports at an early age, and by the time I was 16, I was already leading my first camps in the Ardennes and soon after in southern France. During this time, I learned to always stay alert to the subtle changes in the sky, the presence of various small creatures, and the possibility of finding something edible.

My journey

It was clear from an early age that I would attend the Academy of Physical Education after high school, and that’s exactly what I did. After completing my studies, I had the privilege of teaching at a high school for 24 years, guiding young people in their development every day.

During my first trips to France as an 18-year-old, I wrote letters to Marcia, who was my brand-new girlfriend at the time. Those letters have now turned into text messages, but I’m grateful that I’m still sending them to the same Marcia.

In 2010, we welcomed a little nature lover into our lives, and I’m delighted that our daughter, like her father, is happiest when she’s active outdoors.

The story continues…

In 2016 I enrolled in the offical Wim Hof instructor course, to deepen my understanding of human abilities and to support my own personal growth. This experience opened up new ways of exploring nature. Our inner nature. With great enthusiasm, I went on to study many more modalities in the realm of body-mind connection. Courses in various forms of breathwork, biohacking, meditation, and TRE helped me grow as a father, teacher, and partner, resulting in a stronger relationship with myself.

In early 2023, my journey took a remarkable turn. We moved to Bali as a family, to provide our daughter with an inspiring environment where learning and personal development take place from a completely different perspective.

This transition has led to a profound inner journey for me, allowing me to reinvent myself in a completely new environment, free from everything I was attached to or thought I was.

This journey hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been filled with wonderful moments and has led to a sense of freedom that I’m eager to share with you.
